E.W. (Rick) Parris has been in love with science fiction since reading his first novel, The Andromeda Strain in 1969. Shortly thereafter he inherited his great uncle’s collection of E.E. “Doc” Smith’s Lensmen series. He vacuumed up everything Asimov, Clarke, and Heinlein. Echoes of these can be heard in the winding alleyways of his fiction work.
Rick has worked as a designer for 40 years, an interactive developer for 30 years, a front end engineer for 20 years, and a solutions architect for 10 years. He’s been focussed on online learning experiences since the turn of the century and is a true believer in the potential of distance learning to deliver education to everyone.
